How do I know you're a legitimate company?

How do I find out what size costume I need to purchase?

Underneath each product there's a link called "View Sizing Chart ".  Clicking this link will take you to the manufacturer's standard sizing information. Since we carry products from many manufacturers and they do not all use the same measurements when determining size, please check the sizing chart for each costume you're interested in to ensure you order the correct size.

I saw in the 'View Sizing' window various sizes for a costume, but your website shows only one size available. How do I order a different size?


The View Sizing Chart window shows the standard sizing chart of the manufacturer, not the sizes available for a particular costume.  Manufacturers often make costumes in only a few sizes. (Yes, we know...that doesn't make sense to us, either.)  While we sell our costumes in all the sizes made by the manufacturer, unfortunately that might not include the size you need.

I'm looking for a particular costume but I don't find it on your website. Do you do special orders?


We only do special orders for large quantities (10+).

Are all items listed on your website in stock?


Our inventory is online. When you add an item to your basket and the item is on back order, our system will immediately inform you that the item is back ordered. You can decide at that point whether or not to order it or to change your order.  If the item is sold out, our system won't allow you to add it to your cart.

Does the flat rate shipping fee apply to each item or to the entire shipment?  For instance, I want to order an adult costume and a child costume.  Do I pay shipping on both?


Oya uses a flat shipping rate on the whole order for regular ground shipping.  Please see our shipping section for more details.  

What is the "billing address"? Do the billing and shipping addresses have to be the same?


As an industry-wide standard security practice, the billing name and address you provide must match the name and address listed with your credit card company.  For your protection, we also reserve the right to cancel any order that does not meet this criteria. 

However, the shipping address does not need to match the billing address. Our system allows you to provide different billing and shipping addresses, which
gives you the option to have your costume shipped wherever you want - for example, to a family member as a gift.  (Note: if you work during the day, we recommend you consider providing your work address as the shipping address so you'll be present when your costume is delivered.)  

I don't like doing transactions on the Internet. How else can I order?

What happens if I am not at home when the item is delivered?


If you're not home, a note will be left at your door.  The delivery service will advise you on that note whether they will attempt delivery again the next day or if you need to call them to arrange for the delivery. If you know beforehand that you won't be home, you can always use a different address (such as your workplace) as the shipping address.

Can I request a hard copy catalog?

We do not have a catalog.  All of our stock is listed on our website.

Do you accept payment in Euro?

We accept payment by Euro MasterCard and Visa Card but you will be charged in US or Canadian dollars, depending on the preference you indicate when making your purchase.  Your credit card statement will show you both the transaction currency and the corresponding Euro equivalent.

Do you ship internationally?  I live in Japan. Will your system accept my order? 


You can shop for international orders at www.oyacostumes.ca and the system will accept your order. However shipping cost information is only provided for shipments in the US, Canada and continental Europe. You can contact us by e-mail advising us of the costumes you wish to buy and we'll provide you with the appropriate shipping cost estimate. Please note that we only ship via TNT Courier internationally...and we do not ship to Africa.
