Company Policies

Order processing You can order our products on-line through our secure connection to the Internet. You can also place your order by phone. If the items are in stock, your order will usually be processed within 1-2 days of receipts. Our inventory system is online with our website. If the item is sold out, the system will list it as sold out and will not allow you to order it. If the item is on back order, the system will allow you to order it but will tell you "this item may be back order " when you add it to the cart. We do not process orders less than $30 (before tax and shipment). At any time, you can visit our website and log in on My Account and view the status of your order.
 
Prices If your shipment will be delivered in the US, you can purchase our costumes on www.oyacostumes.com where all prices are denominated in US dollars. If your shipment will be delivered in Canada or internationally, you can purchase our costumes on www.oyacostumes.ca where all prices are denominated in Canadian dollars. If you try to order from our US website and your shipping address is not in the US, the system will not allow you to put through the order. Most costumes are available on both websites but we carry inventory in separate warehouses and sometimes they are differences among the location. With the strong valuation of the Canadian dollar in 2007, we have re-priced many of our items in www.oyacostumes.ca and most canadian customers will notice a significant saving on last year prices. At oyacostumes, we do our best to procure at the most competitive prices and pass on these savings to you. When a Canadian supplier does not pass on at least some of the currency exchange gain in their pricing, we reduced our costumes selection from them, at least for their non-licensed items. Nevertheless our Canadian price is not a direct exchange to the US price as it also reflects the cost of procuring the costumes for the Canadian market. We do our best to provide you with the most reliable and up to date information. In the event that an error does occur, we reserve the right to correct or cancel an order. All prices are subject to change without notice.
 
Taxes No Goods and Sales tax is charged to sales in the USA. For sales in Canada, the federal Goods and Sales tax (G.S.T.) of 6% is applied to the subtotal of purchases and shipping cost. The provincial Quebec sales tax will be added to Quebec shipment only.
 
Payment options We accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPall. For credit card purchases, when you place the order, the amount is pre-authorized on your credit card. However we do not receive the funds till we bill you, which we only do after we process and ship the order. Some credit card company may show the amount of the transaction authorization on your credit card. However should we not process the transaction and ship the goods, the amount is reversed automatically. For payment through paypall, the amount is directly charged when you place the order.
 
Tracking order You can visit our website any time and log-in at Your Account and view the status of your order. When we ship your order, we will e-mail you a billing sales order with the Tracking Number of your parcel which will allow you to track the shipment.
 
Return and Exchange Policy You need to contact us within 3 days of receiving the costume by e-mail at returns@oyacostumes.com to advise us you want to return or exchange the costume. The costume has to be in its original packing, and not worn or used. We will issue you a RA number which you will enter on your packing slip/Return form included in your shipment. For exchange, indicate on the return form the item and size you require. Send the Return Form along with your returned items within 2 days of RA issuance. Mail your return back to us (we do not accept C.O.D. deliveries). Once we receive the costume, and inspect it, we will reimburse you the cost of the costume, less 10% handling charge. We do not reimburse the shipping charge of your original purchase. For exchange, we will ship your request by ground delivery and charge you half of the cost. You can request to upgrade to next day delivery and pay the additional charge. For hygienic reason, we cannot accept exchange or returns on makeup, masks, hats and wigs. Refund are processed within 2 weeks of receipt except for October Returns which are processed the week of November 10 with no exception. Exchanges in October are processed in the same priority as sales orders.
